Peanut Brittle Candy
    2 cup sugar
    1 cup white corn syrup (Karo)
  1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup peanuts
  1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a big saucepan mix sugar, corn syrup and water.  Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Add butter and peanuts; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until it turns to a golden brown. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla extract. Quickly pour mixture onto 2 buttered cookie sheets; spread about 1/4-inch thick. Cool completely; break into pieces.
